Liger heading towards biggest disaster

Directed by Puri Jagannath and starring hero Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, Liger movie released on August 25 with huge hype and anticipation among the audience, film had the biggest craze in Vijay Deverakonda's career.

However, the film garnered exceptionally poor reviews and even worse word of mouth. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is a Pan India project produced by Puri himself along with Karan Johar.

Liger had a great start at the Box Office with excellent opening shows on the first day. Thanks to the enormous hype, the advance bookings were too good till first day. Fans of Vijay Deverakonda were hoping that their hero will register a huge success with this film as his last film world famous lover bombed Very badly.

But the movie Liger destroyed all the hopes of them. Film did not meet the expectations at all. This film was not able to entertain the audience even at the minimum level. Vijay Devarakonda has worked hard physically for this film and has built a lean body. He spent almost two years for this film. He emphasized that this movie will be a great success with a lot of self-confidence during the promotional activities. Even Puri - Charmee duo too were very confident about the movie's success. But unfortunately, as a director Puri Jagannath could not make the words true in action and as a result the film became a huge failure.

While the pre-release business of the Telugu version of Liger is Rs.70 crores, the film has collected in the range of Rs.11 crores in telugu states and almost Rs.14 crores worldwide on its first day. And the trend of bookings on the second day is very poor. Most of the areas in the two Telugu states had the worst collections on the second day. Liger is heading towards a huge disaster with an estimated amount of over 60 crores loss for the distributors at this stage.

Made as a sports action drama, the film stars Ananya Pandey as the female lead Ramya Krishnan, Ronith Roy in key roles. Karan Johar and Puri jointly produced this film. The highly anticipated pan-India project was released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam as well. Tamil and Malayalam versions are washout on first day, whereas Hindi version collected 5 crs net (premiers+first day) but looking at the trend the movie seems to crash after the weekend
