The Liger team should have okayed the 200 CRS offer

Vijay Devarakonda’s LIGER which made all headlines before the release with a ton of expectations, made the same headlines again for its disastrous performance at the box office as it went on to become one of the biggest disasters of the year.

It is now in the happening that cold war has been waged between the distributors of Liger and the director-cum-producer of the film, Puri Jagannath which went to the extent of Puri lodging a complaint against the distributors, primarily naming Warangal Srinu and Shoban Babu.

The distributors, as alleged are provoking exhibitors and other distributors to stage a protest at the director’s house and demand compensation.

A leaked phone call from Puri also suggests the same and the maverick director has been heard not bowing down to the threats but instead mentioning that he will note down whoever has come to protest, leave them out, and compensate the remaining distributors.

Amidst all this chaos, netizens have now taken to social media to Troll the hero Vijay Devarakonda who, with a tinge of overconfidence, tweeted that he’d do much more than 200 crores in theatres when a web portal called out that a bulk rights deal of 200 crores was offered to Liger to directly release in OTT.

This now has boomeranged to the actor who doesn’t seem to now have a face-saving exit out of it. What more does this disaster have in the cooking? Only time will tell.
